Pakistani Government Scholarship 

The Higher Education Commission of Pakistan is a free, independent, and constitutionally established institution of primary financing, managing, controlling, and authorizing advanced education endeavors in Pakistan. HEC Scholarships are usually open throughout the year. Currently, HEC Scholarships are open for MS and PhD degrees and eligible male / female candidates can apply against 75 National Top Talent Scholarships Programme for Pakistani Students on HEC website.

HEC Scholarships (2022-2023)

Higher Education Commission Scholarships (HEC Scholarships) 2022-2023:  On the propitious event of Public Festivals of 75th Independence Commemoration of Pakistan, the Government of Pakistan declares 40 PhD and 35 MS HEC Scholarships grants for Pakistani and Azad Kashmir nationals to study in the world's 25 top ranked colleges / universities [QS or Times Higher education (THE) Rankings only].  The HEC scholarships will only be given out upon submission of proof of admission confirmation to the desired universities and subjects. Eligibility Criteria: Eligibility Criteria of HEC Scholarships and other detail is mentioned below;   Applicant must be a National of Pakistan / Azad Kashmir.  Conditional      / Un-conditional / Confirmed admission in any of the world top 25 best universities in selected objects Candidate must have a the minimum qualification that is given below For MS Scholarship: BE / BSc / Master or equivalent degree (16 year of education) in relevant fields of study For PhD Scholarship: BE / BSc / Master or equivalent degree (16 year of education) in relevant fields of study Candidate must have a minimum of First division in terminal / annual system or CGP 3.0 out of 4.0 & 3.75 out of 5.00 in last degree Age Limit: Maximum age on the closing date of application is mentioned below  40 Years for full-time regular faculty members for public sector universities or degree-awarding institutions. Candidate should be a faculty member of  public-sector university. 35 years for all other candidates Candidate should not have any other scholarship.  Instructions/Information: HEC Scholarships would be granted on first come first served basis. Candidate has to fulfillthe  requirement of university in order to confirm their admission which may include international TOFEL, GRE, ILETS etc. Candidates should take these tests. Application of an applicant can be cancelled at any stage if incorrect information is found.  Selected candidates have to execute a bond with higher commission of Pakistan that immediately after completion of his / her degree, applicant will serve Pakistan at least for a period of three years. Candidates are advised to confirm their particulars before submitting online application. Application once submitted cannot be altered. So, applicant should be very careful before applying online.

Apply Method: The qualified candidates/applicants are encouraged to submit their applications online at HEC Portal https://eportal.hec.gov.pk/ for HEC Scholarships. Rs. 700/- is application processing fee. It should be deposited online in Habib Bank (Account No. 1742-79001334-01), Shalimar Recording Company Branch, Islamabad. Printed copy of the online application form is not required. Shortlisted/selected candidates will be asked to send printed copy (after signature) of the online application form along with all required documents.
